Deborah Ronnen Fine Art (DRFA), owned and operated by Deborah Ronnen for over thirty years, provides a variety of services for individuals and institutions looking to acquire fine art. DRFA works with both beginner and seasoned collectors, and offers guidance in purchasing artwork; building, managing, and displaying a collection; and understanding artists and trends.
Deborah’s expertise in contemporary photography and works on paper, coupled with her extensive knowledge of art history, has been instrumental in her ability to advise her clients. Deborah takes a sensitive and deliberate approach to curating, basing her considerations on aesthetics, current trends, the artist’s perceived place in art history, and an instinct that derives from a lifetime of looking at art in this country and abroad.
Passionate about introducing new clients to the world of modern and contemporary fine art, she works closely with each client and can accommodate a variety of budgets. She is also available to accompany clients to the national juried art fairs that she regularly attends. Confidentiality, privacy, and trust are key components of the practice.
Deborah has long been dedicated to exhibiting and promoting modern and contemporary art in her hometown of Rochester, NY, and has arranged solo exhibitions for artists such as Pablo Picasso, Jasper Johns, Robert Motherwell, Sol LeWitt, Mark Fox, Adam Fuss, Vik Muniz, and Alison Saar.
Among Deborah’s institutional clients are George Eastman Museum and the Memorial Art Gallery of the University of Rochester. In 2008, Deborah was appointed by Governor David Paterson to the New York State Council on the Arts, where she has served as chair of the Visual Arts Committee. She is a past member of the Memorial Art Gallery board of managers. She is also a member of NADA (New Art Dealers Alliance).
Deborah Ronnen Fine Art is located in Rochester, NY. Interested buyers and collectors are encouraged to contact DRFA to schedule an appointment.
